41歲的札卡利亞目前擔任川普媒體科技集團（TMTG）的通訊顧問，該集團負責營運川普的個人社群Truth Social，她自6月起任職於此。

札卡利亞曾擔任格倫內爾（Ric Grenell）創立的非營利組織「Fix California」總法律顧問，以及反墮胎倡議團體「白玫瑰抵抗」（White Rose Resistance）相關職務，目前居住於加州，育有4名子女，並聲稱具備基礎中文能力，曾在北京工作數年。札卡利亞在社群媒體回應時表示，萊維特樹立了「高標準」，她希望「持續為國家帶來強勁成果，並向美國人民傳達本屆政府每天取得的重大勝利」。

萊維特任內常對主流媒體表達不屑，但以快速尖銳回應記者問題聞名，深受川普讚賞並列為信任顧問。札卡利亞接任之際，白宮正面臨政治敏感期，期中選舉臨近，越來越多共和黨候選人與總統保持距離；同時，川普試圖禁止3家新聞機構進入白宮場地的作法正遭法院挑戰，媒體關係緊張。
與此同時，《華爾街日報》（The Wall Street Journal）報導，在川普宣布人選前，預測市場平台Kalshi出現疑似內線交易。3筆可疑下注分別於上周四（8日）晚間與上周五進行，金額為19、74與80美元，合計可獲利9608美元（約台幣30.7萬元）。據報導，札卡利亞原本在賭盤上的看好機率僅約1%。
《英國廣播公司》（BBC）今年4月曾指出，自川普重返白宮以來，投資市場至少出現5次內線交易疑雲，疑似有人精準掌握其發言時機獲利；今年7月，長期為川普操作提詞機的裴瑞茲（Gabriel Perez）因職務之便事先看到講稿，在Kalshi下注獲利超過10萬美元（約台幣320萬元），事後遭白宮解職並接受調查。
